Parish Life at Julian of Norwich
At Julian of Norwich Anglican Church, we seek to follow Jesus in worship, in community, and in service to our neighbours.
Rooted in the Gospel and guided by Jesus’ commandment to love God and love our neighbour, we are a parish that values both prayer and action. We gather to worship, to be nourished by word and sacrament, and to be sent out to live our faith in daily life. We believe that Christian discipleship is lived out not only on Sundays, but also through our ongoing care for one another, service in the wider community, and respect for God’s creation.
Our life together is shaped by a desire to be a welcoming community. By that we mean an intergenerational and inclusive parish that values diverse cultures and experiences. By that we mean a community where people can come as they are, ask honest questions, and grow in faith at their own pace. Our parish has a robust approach to our diocese-wide commitment to Safe Church – a policy and set of protocols which ensure our volunteers interacting with youth and other vulnerable groups are vetted for their reliability.
Inspired by our patron, Julian of Norwich, we trust in God’s love and seek to be a hopeful, faithful presence in our neighbourhood.

The Anglican Diocese of Ottawa
Julian of Norwich Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, a diverse and compassionate Christian community serving eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
The Diocese includes nearly 100 parishes and congregations across urban, suburban, rural, and small-town settings. Together, these communities share in Anglican worship, pastoral care, Christian formation, and mission, seeking to follow Jesus and to serve their neighbours in love.
In addition to the local outreach and community partnerships of each congregation, all parishes support our diocese’s Community Ministries. These ministries are a vital expression of our shared commitment to care for the most vulnerable and to respond to human needs with compassion and dignity.
Our diocese’s Community Ministries include:
Belong Ottawa (drop-in programs offering meals, showers, laundry, and community)
Centre 105 (support for vulnerable individuals)
Cornerstone Housing for Women (shelter and supportive housing for women and gender-diverse people)
Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre (professional counselling and psychotherapy)
Refugee Ministry Office (private refugee sponsorship and settlement support)
Through these ministries — alongside parish-based outreach and service — the Diocese of Ottawa seeks to live out the Gospel by building communities of compassion, justice, and hope across our region.
Our diocese is led by The Right Reverend ………, the 15th Bishop of Ottawa *** this is TBD!
